The Slovak Union of Grape Growers and Wine Producers organises the prestigious wine competition – the Slovak National Collection of Wines. Every year the best 100 Slovak wines are chosen by a professional committee. The wines are available to try in Apponyi Palace, Bratislava.

The Slovak Union of Grape Growers and Wine Producers
The Slovak Union of Grape Growers and Wine Producers is a voluntary association of Slovak grape growers and wine producers. It was created by a merger between the Slovak Union of Wine Producers (1992) and the Union of Grape and Wine Producers in Slovakia (1993).
Today, the Union has 104 members and collectively represents 87% of total wine production and around 4300 hectares of vineyards.
It represents the interests of its members in multiple fields.
Nowadays, the members consider the Union an important contact point with grape growers and wine producers, as the representative function it fulfils drastically simplifies communication between them.
The highest authority within the Union is an annual general assembly.
