Consulting services in 2024/2025

In 2024/2025 we continued to provide expert advice for grape growers and wine producers. We dealt with concrete requests of our members as part of the projects Consulting in the viticulture sector and Consulting for winegrowers.

Our goal is to support quality and sustainable agriculture. That is why we focus on practical solutions and expert guidance in key areas.

 

• Consulting during the founding and managing of vineyards, including maintenance and taking care of the vines. We focused mainly on the health status of the vineyard, analysed diseases and pests and informed about new legislation on direct payments, environmentally friendly practices and organic viticulture.
• Expert consultations on agricultural product processing and food production, focusing on quality, effectiveness and legislative requirements. We focused primarily on correct labelling of wines, label control and new labelling requirements.
• Economic consulting and sales support, during which we helped producers orient themselves on the market, set pricing and effectively reach out to customers. The wine producers could then present themselves in Cité du Vin in Bordeaux, the Expo in Japan and on the Ultimate CEE Wine Fair, where they found importers.

PROJECT SMART VITICULTURE – CONSULTING SERVICES for grape growers and wine producers

The Slovak Union of Grape Growers and Wine Producers provided CONSULTING SERVICES for its grape growers and wine producers. The total number of offered consulting services was 80. Project SMART VITICULTURE I AND II. Was financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

The most requests were made for:

– checking for Brettanomyces in cellars

– monitoring the health of vineyards

– isolating their own yeast

– creating 3 new specifications for protected designations of origin

– teaching grape growers how to work with the weather prediction website viti.skymaps.sk

We look forward to providing more advice for grape growers and wine producers, as the consulting services project continue this year.
